List Background Tasks
Lists the knowledge base’s background work in one feed, or looks up specific tasks by ID:
- Without
task_ids: the newest indexing tasks, bulk tasks, and source runs, merged newest first. An indexing task that belongs to a bulk task appears as the bulk task, except when its content is already in use but its knowledge graph is still being built or failed to build. Follownext_cursorfor older tasks. - With
task_ids: up to 100 indexing task or bulk task IDs. Unknown IDs, tasks the key can’t see, and source run IDs are left out. The list isn’t paged.
To follow a Re-index Documents request here, look up its bulk_job_id.
For which task operation to use when, see Track Indexing.

Every request authenticates with an API key: Authorization: Bearer {API_KEY}. App endpoints take an app API key; knowledge endpoints take a knowledge base API key (Get Started).
Keep keys server-side; never embed them in client code. Requests with a missing or invalid key fail with HTTP 401 (unauthorized).
Path Parameters
Knowledge base ID: the last segment of the Service API endpoint shown in the knowledge base's API Access dialog (…/knowledge-fs/spaces/<knowledge base ID>), and the segment after /datasets/new/ in the address bar.
Query Parameters
Comma-separated indexing task or bulk task IDs to look up, up to 100. Cannot be combined with cursor.
